Veterans Day Assembly

Lincoln-Hubbard Cultural Arts is proud to present  Veterans Day panels for our students as we honor and express our deep gratitude to our local heroes.

These two 45-minute sessions will feature Matt Bitter, a Purple Heart recipient, U.S. Navy SEAL veteran, and Summit resident, along with Delia Hamlet, a U.S. Army veteran and Summit resident.

Matt graduated from the United States Naval Academy and served nine years as a Navy SEAL officer, leading teams through more than 100 combat missions, including operations in Afghanistan and Somalia. His distinguished military service offers students a unique perspective on courage, leadership, and sacrifice.

Delia served as a U.S. Army officer from 2000 to 2004, including a deployment to Kuwait, and later served as Aide-de-Camp to Major General Kathleen Gainey. An Operation Enduring Freedom veteran, she was named Summit's 2025 Veteran of the Year.

Together, Matt and Delia will share their experiences and help students understand the meaning of Veterans Day, the importance of service, and the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have served our country.

We hope these meaningful sessions will bring our school community together in gratitude and appreciation. Don't forget to ask your children what they learned from our veterans!
