GHANA BOOK DRIVE
BEGINNING MONDAY, JUNE 18th.
All books from K to 5th Grade.

Dear Lincoln Hubbard Community,

This summer I am visiting Ghana and will spend some time at a school in the Brenu Akyinim area of Ghana. The school goes from Kindergarten to 5th grade and has 200 students. It also has a nursery. I am looking forward to spending a day at the school and learning what it is like to go to school in Ghana. I will also get a chance to read to the young kids at the school.

The school was destroyed in a storm and our tour company shared that “Children of this age group were no longer attending school and remained in the house or were working on family farms or working”. The kids have a new school now and are back in school. We are collecting books to take to Ghana because the school does not have a lot of books. I want to build a school library for the school and my goal is take 200 books to Ghana so each kid will have a book to take home to read each night.

We need your help to help this school in need. Can you donate books from your libraries and books any of your children want to give away? If you have any books you want to give away, you can drop them off at the school or contact my mom, Kelli Montgomery at
Montgomerykellli@gmail.com or 513-885-3790.

Thank You!!!

5TH GRADE CLAP-IN
Wednesday, June 21st @ 8am

As per Lincoln-Hubbard tradition, all parents are invited to stay and clap in the 5th Graders when they proceed from the black top to the main entrance as they enter their classroom for the last time as an elementary student.

We wish them success in their endeavors as they embark on the next phase of their academic journey.
