Compliance w/Mask Wearing on Property
Dear L-H Families:
I hope this email finds you well and ready for the long weekend. Inasmuch as we have had an outstanding response to our protocols - observations are being made that require your immediate attention and resolution as applicable - please also communicate with your caregivers.
1. Masks MUST be worn while on school property (this applies to students, staff and caregivers).
2. School property consists of any land on the inside of the sidewalks along Woodland, Crescent and Sherman avenues - to the building. The blacktop and fields behind the school are school property.
3. There is no use of the playground during school hours - 8:00-3:00 ( this includes at 12:30 dismissal, as this is the time in which students are expected to go home, have lunch and prepare for remote instruction will starts this Tuesday, 9/8/2020 daily from 1:30-3:00)
Ultimately, it is incumbent on our entire L-H community (staff, students , parents and caregivers) to follow the rules and protocols that are designed to keep us safe, so we can get on with the business of learning. I appreciate your attention to this matter, communication with any caregivers and understanding that in the event there is not a resolution on the part of some individuals - I will be addressing these families directly, in tandem with communicating to the Board Office.
With sincere appreciation for your help -
Prior to 8am, a student’s absence from learning (in-person or remote) will need to be reported to Mrs. Downey at 908-273-1333 AND Virtual Health Office daily. During this waiver period, school meals are FREE FOR EVERY STUDENT. Click here.

Summit Educational Foundation (SEF) is a non-profit which has funded many emergency grants to support Lincoln-Hubbard and all Summit schools. They have responded quickly to meet targeted needs, particularly related to the new virtual aspect of educating Summit’s students. Their fall fundraiser is underway. Learn more and donate! The Lincoln-Hubbard community has always demonstrated a true commitment to the performing arts, and has always been so supportive of SPARC. We greatly appreciate, and rely on that support and hope we can count on it again this year. In lieu of the remit envelope, you can make a donation at www.sparcsummit.org.
There are so many creative ideas being discussed at all of our schools as to how to keep the performing arts alive in 2020, and we can't wait to see what Lincoln-Hubbard decides to do. We know it will be creative and fun and will provide a memorable, meaningful experience for the kids!

If you haven't already noticed the birds flying around enjoying our outdoor classroom located along Crescent Ave, please do so! Spearheaded by none other than bird enthusiast
Mr. Simmons, we installed three thistle bird feeders. Our plan is to add another set of suet feeders to attract Springtime birds too. Enjoy the birds and don't forget to ask Mr. Simmons about it - you'll surely see his smile from under his mask!
