OPTION B -  Ka-Ching

Money makes the world go round—and in this exciting, hands-on class, kids will discover the building blocks of financial literacy in a way that’s fun, creative, and unforgettable. We’ll begin by stepping back in time to learn how people traded goods and services before money even existed. From there, students will create their very own currency, learning to recognize the value of coins and bills, understanding the difference between wants and needs, and exploring how money works in everyday life.

Kids will practice budgeting, saving, and spending through fun scenarios: do you spend your money right away on a small treat, or save up for that bigger, better prize? and learning what it takes to set and reach goals.  For the final class students will invent a product of their own and prepare to “sell” it in our very own classroom Shark Tank–style showcase. With their parents as the audience, kids will present their product, explain its value, and demonstrate their new money smarts.  Ka-Ching! is more than a class—it’s an adventure in financial literacy.
