Work Out With L-H this Week and Next!

During this week and next week, local fitness studios will offer some fun classes to the L-H community. Reconnect with friends after winter break or meet some new ones, try something new, and start the new year off active! The studios will generously donate a portion of the proceeds to benefit L-H. Sign up now to reserve your spots! More information on each class can be found here.  


Upcoming SPARC Events

SPARC has so many plans for the new year! First, tickets are now on sale for their biggest (and most entertaining) fundraiser of the year! Join them on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Knights of Columbus for SEOS (SPARC'ling Evening of Stars). 

Attendees will enjoy musical selections by current middle and high school theater students and entertaining forensics performances by high school Speech & Debate students. Emceeing the night will be Summit's very own, Danny Roselle!

Also, to learn more about SPARC and how you can get involved with the SEOS event, there will be a General Member Meeting on Monday, Jan. 9 at 7:30 pm. Click HERE for the Zoom link.


Special guests will include:

1. Ann Poyner: Speech & Debate coach and SHS Theatre Department Director of the upcoming musical Something Rotten. and Speech & Debate coach.

2. Stephanie Gallegos: Technical Director for SHS productions.

3. Jason Orbe: Technical Director of LCJSMS productions



L-H Cares Update and New Initiative for Fourth-Graders

Thanks to your generosity, L-H Cares was able to collect:


- 17 packs of wipes and 604 diapers for the GRACE Diaper drive   - 365 reusable bags for GRACE

- 36 Halloween costumes for GRACE

- 14.4 lbs of stretched plastic  

- 20 full bags of food pantry items for Loaves and Fishes food pantry at Saint Teresa’s 


Also, the 4th grade will be collecting new or gently used men’s and children’s clothing and shoes from Monday, Jan. 9 through Friday, Jan. 27. Bins will be in the main entrance and by the library.
