Yearbook Reminder for 5th Grade Families

The deadline to create and submit your 5th grader's page for their yearbook is March 17th.

This is a hard deadline, and it will be here before you know it.  Please do not hesitate in getting started!

An email communication with detailed instructions for creating your child's yearbook page and uploading photos was sent to all 5th grade families on Feb 12th. If you did not receive it or need the instructions in Spanish, please contact Libby Jois (elizabeth.jois@gmail.com) or Nicki James (nickiv28@yahoo.com).

The eco-friendly theme for February is reducing plastic consumption. Why? Less than 9% of plastic gets recycled. Single-use plastics like beverage cups, take-away food containers, plastic straws & bags, and balloons are especially a problem. Unlike plastic, glass and metals (including aluminum) can be recycled indefinitely.

This month, we will share ideas for how to reduce plastic consumption.

This week's tip is...

Replace Ziploc bags in lunches and snacks with reusable silicone bags like Stasher or try a reusable Bento Box.
