We're getting close to the end of our GIVE AND GIVE BACK campaign, so if you haven't given to L-H already, please donate today! We're so close to our $30,000 goal, and we know how much your kids want to dump slime on Mr. Carlin, so help us get there!

THANK YOU!
L-H Cares: Second-Graders Collecting Art Supplies
Starting tomorrow, Monday, May 8, and continuing through May 25, second-graders will be collecting art supplies in boxes in the main lobby and also outside the art room.
Materials can include NEW (think unused birthday presents) markers, crayons, colored pencils, Play Doh, coloring books, notebooks, craft paper, art kits, etc!
The collection will go to GRACE for distribution to children of families who received food through this local program.
Field Day is Coming! May 26
The kids will be celebrating Field Day on Friday, May 26 in the morning from 8 am - noon.
If you want to come help out, we can use some volunteers!
Thank you to chairs Jessica Lemkau and Jen Salzman for planning a fun evening for parents to connect at Bar Bacoa last week.
Want to Get More Involved at L-H? We Need Some PTO Board Members for Next Year!
We're already planning ahead for next year, and we have a few positions open on the Executive PTO Board. Specifically, we're looking for the following positions:
-- Co-VP’s (this is a 2-year commitment, as this position moves to president the following year)
-- Assistant Webmaster (updates the PTO website)
-- Assistant Communications (sends out the weekly newsletter as well as other one-off communications)
The Executive Board meets once a month, usually for about an hour, in the morning at school.
We know that they've been banned in local stores, but if you happen to have any grocery-store-sized plastic bags at home, they can use them in the STEAM lab!
Your PTO Dollars at Work
A huge THANK YOU to our hospitality committee (Laura Buccola, Elyssa Guthoff and Katelyn Luke) for all their hard work for our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. They put together an amazing lunch for our teachers from Marigolds, as well as surprising Mr. Carlin with his favorite treats and a lunch just for him on Principal's Day.
These treats, which really come from ALL of us, are possible because of YOUR donations to the PTO, so thank you!
